Bemijdi Bridge Inspection Today

Drivers commuting through Bemidji today should be advised that a detour will be in order if you are going near the Irvine Avenue Bridge and should plan accordingly. The Bemidji Police Department confirms the bridge will be closed today, Oct 20th, while MnDOT and LHB (the engineering firm) complete an inspection on the bridge that overhangs the railroad tracks.

The closure is set to begin at 9am and last into the afternoon so those that normally commute through the area should expect delays and detours while getting to and from your destination. Traffic will be rerouted to Park Ave NW during the inspection period and the bridge should be reopened immediately once the inspection is complete.
