Weekend Retreat for Local Leaders Coming Up in November

November 6th through the 8th at the Cloquet Forestry Center is the elected leadership circle for non-partisan elected and appointed leaders. Amber Lewis from the Northspan regional economic and community development non-profit shared about the event.

This event is open to the seven counties in northeast Minnesota, which include Koochiching. The retreat is capped at 16 people.

The retreat costs 195 dollars, but that includes lodging and food for the weekend. If the cost is a barrier, they do have full scholarships available. The application for the scholarship is simply sending an email and requesting the scholarship. People can reach out at alewis@northspan.org. If people are unavailable for the November retreat, they will also have one in May from the 21st to the 23rd.
