Energy Assistance Available For Minnesotans This Winter
With colder weather arriving, Minnesotans are encouraged to check whether they qualify for heating assistance. Energy Assistance Program director Michael Schmtiz says it helps income-eligible households pay heating and energy bills during the winter months.
Minnesota’s Energy Assistance Program helps more than 100,000 households each year.
Schmitz says higher heating costs and colder temperatures make the program especially important in rural parts of the state.
