McGregor Superintendent discusses COVID-19 plans, low case rates at School District

(McGregor, MN) — McGregor Public Schools, along with many other school districts across the State, took a proactive approach with guidelines for any adjustments in learning models in the event of a COVID-19 breakdown within the District.
In our conversation we had with McGregor Elementary Principal and Superintendent Brad Johnson says the plan they created included assistance from Aitkin County Public Health
The plan would adjust learning models, mask mandates, and other mitigating factors that would go into effect depending on the rise in cases.
If there were cases over the majority of the current school year, most of them were attributed to quarantining from a case within the household.
McGregor Schools also continues to echo the message that if a student feels sick, then have them stay home.
