(Aitkin, MN) — Moving forward in the grant funding process, the Lakes Area United Way is seeking the public’s help in their efforts to go through grant applications on their Vision Council.
Our conversation with Lakes Area United Way Executive Director Jon Aga noted that January and February served as time for applications to come in and now March and April are the filtering process.
Volunteers for the Vision Council will be able to sign up days to review applications in multiple areas for community improvement.
Signing up can be done online and over the phone.
Vision Council volunteers can range from all over the Aitkin, Cass, and Crow Wing County services area and there are some limitations.
The review process of the grant applications but limited grant dollars are available.
The Lakes Area United Way is hoping to grant the same amount of grant dollars after a successful 2021.
