Norman County Demolition Landfill Provides Option for Many Items Not Accepted During Clean-Up Days
Gary, MN — The City of Ada will be hosting their Spring Clean Up later this week and although it is a great opportunity to get rid of most of your extra garbage, there are still a number of items that won’t be accepted. That includes fluorescent light bulbs, paint, appliances, and items considered white or brown goods. Brown goods include televisions, computers, monitors, stereo equipment, microwaves, and other small appliances while white goods are items such as dishwashers, refrigerators, grills, mowers, furnaces, and stoves. However, those items can be brought to the Norman County Demolition Landfill, according to Glen Visser. There can be a small fee depending on the item.
Al’s Disposal will be taking demolition items for Ada residents during the city of Ada Spring Clean Up this week. However, for the rest of the county or for those looking to get rid of those demolition items, such as construction materials, the Norman County Demolition Landfill will take that for a fee of $7 a yard as well.
There are number of items that they cannot put in the landfill itself but can take for disposal elsewhere as long as you are able to keep them separate.
The Norman County Demolition Landfill is open Saturday morning until winter from 8am until 1pm. For more information call 218-415-0190.
