(Aitkin, MN) — In our monthly conversation with Aitkin County CARE, Executive Director Lynne Jacobs spoke about the meal delivery program and being able to bring healthy and balanced hot or frozen meals to their low-income clients spanning all over Aitkin County.

Jacobs opened our talk with the process of delivering hot meals within Aitkin City limits.

These meals are delivered by CARE’s numerous volunteers to give their clients someone to connect with on a regular basis.

Jacobs did mention that CARE’s clients that are beyond Aitkin city limits, frozen meal deliveries are available.

With the meal delivery program, the goal is to continue eating healthy into your older years.

Jacobs did say that meals can be purchased one day at a time or more through a subscription service.

More information on meal deliveries, which are income based, through Aitkin County CARE can be found at www.aitkincountycare.org or call 218-927-1383 extension 1.
