The Park Christian Falcons were able to hold off several rallies from the Mahnomen Waubun Thunderbirds to come away with a 60-59 win in Girls Basketball.  This was a battle from the opening tap with the teams exchanging the lead 10 times in the first half and the greatest lead being 7 points which was established by the Falcons.  with some made free throws the Falcons would lead at the half 31-28.  The 2nd half would see Park Christian build a 10 point lead only to see the Thunderbirds come back and with time winding down Mahnomen Waubun would hit some key 3 pointers to tie the game at 59 with 2.7 seconds left.  On the inbound Park Christian would get the ball to Avery Aakre who would draw the foul and make 1 of 2 free throws to seal the win.  With the victory Park Christian is now 9-2 while Mahnomen Waubun drops to 5-4.
