Mahnomen Waubun had a solid defensive performance that aided the in a 70-56 win over Park Christian.  The game was tight in the first half with 9 lead changes, Mahnomen Waubun build a 10 point lead only to see the Falcons go on a 13-0 run to take the lead.  The Thunderbirds would go on a run of their own to regain the lead and take a 2 point lead into half 38-36.  The Thunderbirds defense was stellar to start the 2nd half holding Park Christian scoreless for several minutes while scoring in transition to build an 18 point lead midway through the half.  Park Christian would go on another run to cut the lead to 10 but that is as close as they would get.  With the win Mahnomen Waubun is now 6-2 while Park Christian falls to 4-5.
