Local Results from the August 9th Primary
The results are in from Tuesday night’s August 9th Primary Election.
The Ulen-Hitterdal School had a $1.75 million childcare facility referendum on the ballot. That measure failed with 285 people voting “No”, or roughly 70%, and 123 voting yes.
In Norman County District 2, Jesse Lee and Nathan Redland will advance to the general election with 43% and 42% of the vote respectively. Randall Steen had 14%.
In Mahnomen County District 2, David Geray had 51% and Theodore “Teddy” Busse had 27% to advance over Bridget Books, who captured 21%.
In State Senate District 1 race, Incumbent Mark Johnson defeated Dave Hughes to run for the Republican party in the November Election.
In State Senate District 4, Dan Bohmer received 72% of the vote over Edwin Hahn to advance for the Republicans. Rob Kupec was unopposed for the Democrats.
For Congressional District 7, Jill Abahsain won the DFL race with 59% of the vote over Alycia Gruenhagen.
