Ada Chamber of Commerce Receives Grant to Support Entertainment at Upcoming Fun in the Flatlands
Ada, MN — The Ada Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council has awarded a $4,300 matching grant to have quality arts and entertainment during Fun in the Flatlands in Ada on September 10-11th. Arts and Entertainment this year at the Fun in the Flatlands made possible this year because of that grant include George’s Concertina Band, blacksmithing from Raven Works Forge, basket weaving with Buffy Rockstad, turning junk into treasure with Sheila Capistran, and even Old Fashion Sock Hop. Other events planned throughout the Fun in the Flatlands weekend include a shrimp boil, street dance, old fashioned food court, Kelly Thronson Memorial BBQ Contest, bean bag tournament, movie in the park, 4-H Achievement Day, and more.
