Ada, MN — Earlier this month, the Ada City Council removed the Interim Police Chief label from veteran police officer Steve Hager and appointed him the new full-time Chief for the city. Chief Hager joined the KRJB Kaleidoscope Program where he discussed the big promotion. While he is very excited about the new position, Chief Hager recognizes that with the new title comes a great deal of responsibility.

Don’t expect major, widespread changes to the operation of the Ada Police Department under the direction of Hager, but he says his goals are to maintain positive relationships with his officers, city council, and community and continue to expand upon their presence in the community.

One of his first actions as the new Ada Police Chief was to hire a new full time officer. Hager says Officer Alex Saric will be joining the department in November and is very excited about moving into the community from the metro.

Officer Saric’s first day with the Ada Police Department will be November 7th.
