Ada Police Asks Snowmobilers to Stay Off the Dike
Ada, MN — Snowmobiling traffic in the city of Ada is increasing this year as the snow piles up, which is great for industry and local businesses. However, the Ada Police Department is asking riders to please use caution when riding through town and follow the rules. Snowmobilers are allowed to ride on city streets to get to and from their destination and on the designated trail that goes north and south through the community. Where snowmobilers cannot ride is on the dike surrounding the city. Ada Police Chief Steve Hager says they have had a number of complaints recently, and along with a citation, riders’ risk civic penalties if they damage the dike in any way.
The riding on the dike does not apply to just snowmobiles. No motorized vehicles of any kind are allowed.
