Weird and Wacky Wednesday: “Florida Police Rescue Woman from Storm Drain…Again”
Police in Florida were called down to a canal to pull a woman out of a storm drain — something that felt very familiar to them because it was the second time in two years that they had to pull the same woman out of the storm drain. Cops in Delray Beach responded to a call about a person swimming in a canal. When they arrived they found a woman in the water and asked if she needed help. They say she ignored them and then climbed into a storm drain pipe. The woman refused to come out and crawled further into the pipe. Firefighters were eventually called in to help, and after containing the woman between two sections of pipe, they were able to climb in and pull her out. The woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for evaluation. In March of 2021, the same woman was found in a storm drain two weeks after her boyfriend reported her missing. Two months after that, she turned up inside a storm drain in Grand Prairie, Texas.
