Aitkin County Board meeting from Tuesday
The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners held their bi-monthly meeting Tuesday.
The Board approved resolutions including the 2022 Annual Apportionment of Forfeited Tax Sales and accepted a donation from the City of Hill City to the Search and Rescue Group.
Jennifer Erdmann, Lakes and Emergency Services Program Manager, presented a resolution for the Family Homeless Prevention Assistance Program.
District 3 County Commissioner Travis Leiviska opened discussion on recent State Legislation concerning the 2nd Amendment and creating separate storage guns and ammunition.
Sheriff Dan Guida echoed his message for a letter opposing any such passage of gun legislation.
County Administrator Jessica Seibert noted during the 2022 Year End Budget Review, the County was under budget.
The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners will next meet on Tuesday, March 14th beginning at 9am from the Government Center Board Room.
