Buxton City Council Addresses Growing Concerns Of Railroad Crossing Blockages
The Buxton City Council met in regular session Wednesday night.
Mayor Travis Soderberg updated the council on a growing concern regarding railroad crossing blockages on both crossings in city limits. Soderberg comments on one particular instance.
Soderberg reminds anyone encountering blockages on the crossings to call the one eight-hundred number on the blue signs at the crossings and make an official report. The City is in communication with BNSF Railway and statewide government officials to alleviate the blockages.
In other agenda items, Dennis Riedhammer of Riedhammer Masonry updated the council on safety improvements to the building on 317 Broadway. The Council also reviewed the year-to-date budget and approved temporary ordinance amendments to accommodate a benefit event on Sunday, October 8th.
