Ada-Borup-West Student to throw First Pitch at Saints Game
Ada-Borup-West student Madalynn Crompton has been named the winner of the Northwest Minnesota Foundation First Pitch Contest. The was started as a way to recognize a youth who is championing their community by raising awareness or volunteering to a cause.
Madalynn was nominated for the contest after she started a project centered around the creation and placing of comfort stations in Ada-Borup-West schools. Madalynn explains her project and what she’s been doing to make her community a better place.
Madalynn also shared what influenced her to do a project like this.
For winning the contest Madalynn will be throwing out the first pitch at the St. Paul Saints game on Sunday, August 20 at CHS Field. Madalynn says she is excited for the opportunity and says that her softball background has prepared her for the first pitch.
