Ada City Council News & Notes from February 7th Meeting
Ada, MN — The Ada City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday night, February 7th at Ada Council Chambers. At the meeting, the council was alerted that the steps into the Dekko Community Center Pool had broken and while fixed temporarily, will need a permanent replacement. Ada Councilmember Josh Mathsen says even the bare minimum replacement will be expensive, so they are going to explore all options.
The Ada City Council also moved forward this week with some requirements for those requesting donations from the city. Mathsen says if the request itself doesn’t specifically benefit the city, they will be asking for 5 hours of community service in return.
And the city of Ada will once again be accepting mowing bids for the cemetery after the most recent contractor backed out after only 1 year.
The Ada City Council meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
