Ada City Council Toughens Enforcement On Blight

At Tuesday’s Ada City Council meeting, Mayor John Hintz encouraged council members and city residents to report any blight in the community.  Recently Police Chief Steve Hager made visits or mailed letters to property owners who have blight. Mayor Hintz says there is now more enforcement regarding blight issues in the City of Ada.

The blight citations are a petty misdemeanor and could bring jail time to those not complying with the laws and rules pertaining to blight in the city of Ada.
