Ada Clean Up Week and Spring Maintenance Reminders
The City of Ada’s annual clean up week kicks off today and runs through Saturday. During clean up week Ada residents will have the chance to drop off their unwanted and-accumulated items, junk or debris. Al Disposal will be collecting these items at the Old City Hall parking lot on 4th Ave, between West Main and East Main Street on May 2 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, May 3 from Noon to 6:00pm, and May 4, from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Garbage left on curbs will not be collected, and anyone with questions can contact Ada City Hall or go to the City of Ada website at www.adamn.gov.
Despite not being able to collect brush during spring clean up on the 1st Wednesday of every month the City of Ada will be collecting brush. Brian Rasmussen of the Ada Public Works Department shares some reminders on what they can and can’t take.
It’s sump pump season for many Ada residents as well and Rasmussen wanted to remind residents about the rules with sump pumps.
Lastly after receiving significant rainfall over the past few days Rasmussen says that they will be lenient with grass length for the next couple weeks, but expects residents to keep their lawns in check once we move deeper into spring.
