Ada Garden Club Celebrating 85th Anniversary with Garden Tour
Ada, MN — The Ada Garden Club invite all for a self-guided tour of some magnificent, local gardens as a way to celebrate their 85th year of existence. The Ada Garden Club Tour will be held this Thursday, July 28th from 2-8pm starting at East Side Park in Ada, according to Deb Mickelson of the Ada Garden Club.
Mickelson’s great-grandmother was actually one of the founding members of the original Ada Garden Club. While the club back then was much more active with various flower shows throughout the year, Mickelson notes that the Garden Club still plays a vital role in helping beautify the city.
Gardening is a great form of stress relief, according to Mickelson, and she hopes that this week’s tour will inspire everyone who participate, whether they are beginning or master gardeners, to create or grow something of their own in the future.
Tickets for this Thursday’s Ada Garden Club tour are $15 and are available at either American Federal Bank or at the East Side Park Gazebo on the day of the tour.
