Ada Police Department holding Public Safety Meeting about potential school resource officer position 

Ada Police Chief Steve Hager joined us on the latest installment of the Kaleidoscope program to discuss many topics centered around the Ada Police Department. One of those topics was the upcoming public safety meeting happening on Wednesday, July 26. At this public safety meeting Chief Hager will be presenting the possibility of creating a school resource officer position for the Ada-Borup-West School. 

Chief Hager also explained how this position could possibly be funded and the earliest this potential position could be implemented. 

Chief Hager explained what some responsibilities the school resource officer would have if the position was created. Hager also stated that the latest legislation passed by the Minnesota State Legislature makes the need for a school resource officer more needed.
