Ada Public Works Details Plow Routes & Procedures Ahead of Winter Storm
Ada, MN — With anywhere from 3-7 inches of snow or more expected over the next couple of days, Ada Public Works Director Brian Rasmussen, who recently joined us on the Kaleidoscope Program, shared some information on their snowplowing procedures and policies. The City of Ada typically does not plow unless there is a snow event of 3 inches or more and typically not until the storm has subsided. Rasmussen says they start with their emergency routes first and make their way through various parts of the city.
Rasmussen says the snow removal process typically takes about 8 hours or more depending on the amount of snow. Residents will be asked to move their vehicles that are parked on the street no more than 24 hours after the plows come by. If not, they could be fined or risk having their vehicle towed.
