(Aitkin, MN) — When the Aitkin Anglers take to the water mid-May for another season, they will be without one of their competitors after a horrific accident this winter.

In our conversation with Aitkin Anglers coach Dan Borseth with a look at the season ahead, senior Westin Justen’s life was taken way too soon and the team will be looking to carry on.

Westin’s memory and family will still be an actively integral part of the Anglers this season.

Borseth also mentioned the Anglers will have a record number of participants as well as boat captains.

The Aitkin Anglers will be busy with a combination of virtual and in-person tournaments.

Fundraising through meals, charitable gambling, raffles, and other creative means keep the Anglers busy when not in the water and their gas tanks full for the boats.
