Aitkin County Board meeting from Tuesday, January 3rd

The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday, January 3rd, adjourning the 2022 Board and saying goodbye to 3 out-going Commissioners. After the Consent Agenda was approved,  County Assessor Mike Dangers presented a proposal to schedule the annual County Board of Appeal and Equalization meeting.

That was approved for June 13th at 4pm.

A Letter of Support was approved for Friends of Rice Lake National Wildlife Refuge to restore one permanent staff position.

Personnel Committee recommendations were approved, including hiring a new county jail nurse and the 2023 Pay Equity Report. 

The 2023 Meeting Procedures, Designation of Official County Newspaper, and the 2023 Meeting Schedule for the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month rounded out the matters before the Board which were approved. 

The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners is next scheduled to meet on Tuesday January 24th at 9am from the Government Center Board Room.
