Aitkin County Board of Commissioners meet set for April 12th at 9am

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing concerning Commissioner Districts and review Department requests during their first regular meeting Tuesday, April 12th from the Government Center Board Room.
The Board will review items including 2021 MN federal Boating Safety Supplemental Equipment Grant, Search and Rescue and Long Lake Conservation District Donations, and a resolution for the Bakk-Ecklund PILT Bills Support.
CFO Kathleen Ryan will present to Commissioners on Liquor and Beer License Expirations Date December 31st.
County Engineer John Welle will speak to the Board on awarding a contract for 5 projects in Fleming Township for bituminous resurfacing to KGM contractors, Inc of Angora, MN.
Economic Development Coordinator Mark Jeffers will be seeking approval to submit a Congressionally Directed Spending Grant.
Following updates from County Administrator Jessica Seibert and Commissioner Committees, Land Commissioner Dennis Thompson will open the Tax-Forfeited Land Public Hearing and adopt a resolution for Land Classification at 10am.
Beginning around 10:30am, County Auditor Kirk Peysar will begin the Redistricting of Commissioner Districts Public Hearing, followed by adopting a final redistricting plan for Aitkin County Commissioner district and Aitkin County Commissioner Districts and set election terms.
The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners meets at 9am Tuesday, april 12th from the Government Center Board Room.
