Aitkin County Board of Commissioners meeting for March 8th

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners meeting this morning will include the Public Hearing on Chronic Wasting Disease/Captive Cervid Farms and setting a date for another Public Hearing concerning Redistricting Commissioner Districts, all which will take place in the Aitkin County Government Board Room starting at 9am.
Commissioners will look to approve resolutions including an LG220 Permit for the Wealthwood Rod & Gun Club, Establishing Precincts and Polling Places for Unorganized Townships, Sponsorship to MCIT, and donations to Aitkin County Search & Rescue from the Palisade Fire Department and the Aitkin Lions.
Aitkin County Soil & Water Conservation District Manager Steve Hughes will present to Commissioners on the Mississippi River Grand Rapids 1W1P Resolution.
IT Manager Chris Sutch will discuss with Commissioners on an application for the HAVA Grant.
County Auditor Kirk Peysar will open talks to the Board on setting a Public Hearing for the Redistricting of Commissioner Districts.
County Administrator Jessica Seibert will also give her Administrator updates before the Board takes a break.
Environmental Services Director Andrew Carlstrom will take part and give background on the Chronic Wasting Disease/Captive Cervid Farms Public Hearing at 10am before reading the Zoning Ordinance Amendment and receive approval from the Board.
The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners meeting is set for 9am from the Government Center Board Room.
