Aitkin County Board of Commissioners meeting from May 24th

The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners held their monthly meeting with their Health and Human Services Department from the Government Center Board Room on Tuesday, May 24th.

Health and Human Services Director Cynthia Bennett gave her directors update, first concerning funding for Public Health.

Good news in the realm on mental health needs, which will see increases in funding for services.

Bennett also spoke about a new bill that will share information with law enforcement when mentally ill persons are having a crisis.

An update to the remodelling of the HHS Building including the receiving of bids for the project.
