(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, October 11th held their regular meeting from the Government Center Board Room to updates job description details and award Community Grants.

Human Resources Director Bobbie Danielson presented a resolution to approve a Summer Camp Stipend for two employees.

Commissioners also approved a update for the Election Support Specialist-Account Tech Job Description and a recommendation for Assessment Tech in the Assessor’s Office. 

Chief Financing Officer Kathleen Ryan represented Economic Development on awarding a Community Grant for the City of Aitkin.

The Board also approved the submission of the LATCF Grant Application and a request for FRF Funds for payment processing and workflow managing. 

Land Commissioner Dennis Thompson was on hand to seek the Board’s support for a letter to Huber Engineered Woods, LLC in neighboring Itasca County.

The letter of support was approved. Commissioners did move ahead with approval for Search and Rescue donations from Mille Lacs Energy Community Trust and Minnewawa Sportsmen’s Club, and Utility Easement, and setting a time and date for the 2023 Timber Auctions.

The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners will next meet on Tuesday, October 24th at 9am.
