Aitkin County distributing KN95 masks

Aitkin County Public Health received a limited supply of KN95 masks from the state to distribute to those who are less likely to have access.  We partnered with Aitkin County C.A.R.E., McGregor ANGELS, local food shelves and others to distribute them throughout the county.  Additionally, the federal government has partnered with Costco, CVS, Walgreens, and Walmart to distribute free high-filtration masks. High filtration masks can also be found in many stores and on Amazon for $1-$3 each. Information regarding re-use of these masks can be found on our COVID-19 web page at www.co.aitkin.mn.us. Double layered cloth masks provide protection. Surgical masks provide more protection. High-filtration masks like N95s and KN95s provide the most protection. However, it is most important that you find a mask that you WILL WEAR, that is well fitted to your face and  covers your nose and mouth.
