Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office dealing with winter storm damage, recovery funds

The recent storms in Aitkin county caused over $1m in damaged, including power outages and downed trees. Aitkin County Sheriff Dan Guida explained how some of those expenses could be reimbursed:

The damage assessment must be done within 30 days of the incident in order to file. Up to 75% of expenses related to storm clean-up and repair may be reimbursable from the state.
