Aitkin County SWCD Native Trees, Plants Open House on Thursday

(Aitkin, MN) — The weather may say winter but spring planting will be presented with choices to grow your green thumb with the Aitkin County Soil and Water Conservation District hosting a Native Plants and Trees Sales at the Aitkin Public Library Thursday, February 23rd.

We spoke with the SWCD’s Veronica Lundquist about the Open House being able to answer questions that are keeping you from planting this spring.

Lundquist also added the Open House, going from 3:30-6pm, will have a giveaway for attendees.

Forester Kaysie Maleski also noted the Open House also serves as a chance to order native plants and trees.

Maleski says the native plants and trees enhance the natural surroundings of Aitkin County.
