Aitkin County SWCD “Walk in the Woods” program to return next month

(Aitkin, MN) — Aitkin County Soil & Water Conservation District will be showcasing all of the natural beauty of the wooded areas that surround Aitkin with their “Walk in the Woods” classes this Spring and Summer.

In our monthly chat with Aitkin County SWCD Manager Steve Hughes offers the chance for individuals to connect with their natural surroundings.

Upcoming classes will include Invasive Species and Planting of Trees.

Tree planting is not too unfamiliar around Aitkin, even with the SWCD’s plant and tree sales program.

Hughes also mentioned the classes are free and Forestry experts will be part of the “Walk in the Woods” program.
