Annual Bike Rodeo & Bike Parade Scheduled for Wednesday, May 4th
Ada, MN — Get the bike down from the rafters and air up the tires, this coming Wednesday, May 4th is National Bike to School Day and the City of Ada, in conjunction with the Dekko Center and Norman-Mahnomen Public Health, will be hosting their annual Bike Rodeo and Parade after school for students in PreK through 5th grade. The bike rodeo will take place at 3:15 at the former Faith United Church parking lot across from the school where the kids will go between to stations refreshing their bike skills and learning more about bike safety, according to Brianna Eggen of the Dekko Center in Ada.
Essentia Health will also be providing a healthy snack for the kids before they take off the bike parade, which will bring them across town to the Dekko Center.
A pair of bikes will also be given away after the parade courtesy of the Ada Future Leaders. They are also looking for volunteers to assist with the bike rodeo and parade. For more information contact Brianna at the Dekko Center, 218-784-7665.
