Rep. Fischbach Supports More Milk Options For Schools

Last week, the US House passed the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act, which will allow schools to serve whole milk as part of the school lunch program.  Minnesota 7th District Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach supports the bill. The Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act now moves to the US Senate.

Take A Walk This Christmas

Two Area Students Nominated To Service Academies

WASHINGTON, DC—A student from Fertile and one from Detroit Lakes have been nominated for the US Service Academies by Minnesota 7th District Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach.  Bjorn Messick of Fertile has been nominated for the US Air Force Academy and Avery Browen of Detroit Lakes has been nominated to the US Naval Academy.

Mahnomen City Council Sets 2024 Tax Levy

Waubun/Ogema/White Earth E-sports

The Waubun-Ogema-White Earth School District has just wrapped up its second fall season of e-sports.  The team’s adviser, Keith Mernitz, says things have gone well. Mernitz says 18 students were part of the Waubun-Ogema-White Earth e-sports team this fall.  There will be another e-sports season in the spring.
