Baron Resigns as Superintendent of Ulen-Hitterdal School District
Ulen, MN — The search begins again for a new Superintendent at the Ulen-Hitterdal School District. Ryan Baron, who was on administrative leave at Ulen-Hitterdal following a trespassing incident at his previous district in Karlstad, MN, submitted his resignation to the board at their meeting on December 9th. Interim Superintendent Todd Cameron, who originally retired from the district in the summer of 2021, says the departure was mutual.
The Ulen-Hitterdal School Board is also rejuvenating discussions and planning for the proposed childcare facility. Superintendent Cameron says they are surveying the community to learn more about their interest.
Cameron adds that its important that entire community, not just the school, be involved in this process as childcare issues impact everyone.
And Cameron reported to the board that they plan on working with an organization to provide basic dental care services to Ulen-Hitterdal children right in the school later this year.
The Ulen-Hitterdal School Board also approved hiring Rhoda Habedank as a long-term substitute School Counselor and reviewed the 2022-2023 school calendar.
