Body found near Big Pine Lake identified

AITKIN — A body  discovered last week in Aitkin County was positively identified as Anne Wyatt. Wyatt had been reported missing on January 5th, three days after she was last seen. The Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office reported finding the body at around 12;45 p.m. Friday in a wooded area near Big Pine Lake.

Aitkin County Sheriff Daniel Guida said Wyatt was originally from the area, though she was recently dealing with a situation in life. She had not been in contact with family or friends since January 2nd. Guida said Sunday that Wyatt had been couch hopping and that her possessions were kept in a U-Haul truck. The truck was found abandoned a couple days earlier with the contents and her dog. 

There’s nothing in the report on the condition of the canine.
