Border Bank has purchased Northern
Ag
David L. Felch, Chief Executive Officer of Border Bank, announced Border Bank has purchased Northern
Ag, an insurance agency focused on improving the financial security of producers by providing
risk management tools, including crop insurance and marketing plans.
Northern Ag will continue to operate business as usual, keeping the name “Northern Ag” and
their offices in Thief River Falls, Roseau and Goodridge.
“Acquiring Northern Ag aligns with Border Bank’s plan to grow Border Bank beyond core banking, by
integrating other types of business lines that will fill the needs of our customers. We welcome and look
forward to working with the six member team at Northern Ag, which will continue to be led by Jody
Miller, former owner, who will be the President of Border Bank’s insurance business,” stated Felch.
“I would like to thank my customers for their loyal business. I have been so fortunate to never think of
my job as “work”, as I am doing what I love. With this teamwork and dedication, I look forward to
working for our customers’ farming operations for many more years to come,” stated Miller, President,
Market Analyst and Crop Insurance Agent.
Border Bank was established in 1935 and has two branches in Fargo, North Dakota, and nine branches in
Minnesota: Coon Rapids, Greenbush, Thief River Falls, Middle River, Badger, Roseau, Baudette,
International Falls and Clearbrook.
