Brain Tumor Awareness Month

May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month.  And there’s a nurse at Essentia Health-Fosston who is especially aware of brain tumors—because she had one.  Five years ago, Jen Beckman went to the hospital and doctors found something she wasn’t expecting.

Beckman says she didn’t have any symptoms, but some brain tumors have them.

Once she recovered from her surgery, Beckman went on to become a nurse at Essentia Health-Fosston.  She says a way to avoid brain tumors is to just take good care of yourself.
