Broncos Baseball Held to One Hit By Cherry

In International Falls, the Broncos Baseball team took on Cherry yesterday where they scored five runs in the first inning. This helped the Tigers defeat International Falls 9-0 at Scheela Field, opening the scoring in the top of the first thanks to four singles. Keaton Maish took the loss going five innings, giving up nine runs (seven earned) on 11 hits, striking out three and walking one. Emmet Olson stepped in for relief for two innings, he threw two strikeouts and allowed one hit and no runs. Emmet Olson also collected 3 walks in 4 at-bats at the plate for the Broncos. Torin Thompson went 1-for-4 at the plate to get the one hit for the Broncos. Connor Tomczak paced the Broncos with three walks in 3 at-bats. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating 13 walks for the game. Cherry amassed 11 hits in the game, and ran wild on the base paths, piling up seven stolen bases for the game.

Next up for the Broncos Baseball team is a game against Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton on Friday.
