Broncos Girls Hockey team opening weekend

Over the weekend in Bronco Arena, the Bronco Girls Hockey started their season at home with a pair of games on Friday and Saturday. Friday’s game was against Dryden where after two scoreless periods from both teams, the Eagles would find the net twice in the 3rd period and get the 0-2 victory over the home team Broncos. Joey Payeur spoke with Senior Goalie Mara Pelland of the Broncos after the game.

Then, on Saturday they played Thief River Falls where the visiting Prowlers were led by Lila Dalager’s 5 goals and an assist in a 0-9 defeat of International Falls. Senior goalie Mara Pelland had 55 saves in the losing effort, and the Broncos are on home ice once more on Thursday for the first of three Border Battles with Fort Frances.
