Broncos Girls Swimming Start Strong Beating NE Range-Ely

The girls swimming and diving team went to Northeast Range for their first dual meet of the year. The International Falls girls swim and dive team opened their season in impressive fashion last night, rolling past Northeast Range–Ely in a dual meet.

The Broncos varsity squad finished on top 57–37. Highlights included wins from Avery Bee in the 100-yard breaststroke, Mackenzie Minnick in the 100-yard backstroke, and a dominating relay victory in the 200-yard freestyle.

Head coach J.J. McBride says the team is already making a statement. “We kicked off the season with a big win against Northeast Range–Ely! Many of our swimmers are already picking up right where they left off last season, and every single girl on the team put up some great times. We’re so proud of all of them and excited for what’s ahead!”

The Broncos return to the pool September 4th at Warroad as the season gets underway.
