Broncos Volleyball Home Opener
The International Falls Broncos volleyball team played at home for the first time this season in an opener against Mountain Iron-Buhl. The Broncos struck first, taking the opening set 25–23, but the Rangers rallied to win the next three by scores of 25–18, 26–24, and 25–22, handing Falls a 3–1 loss.
Leading the way for the Broncos was Neva Kokesh, who recorded 2 aces and 5 kills — and was named the Energy Player of the Game for her performance.
Other key contributions came from:
- Payton Grashorn, with 2 aces and 4 kills,
- Lauren Basaraba, with 3 aces and 3 kills,
- Charley Swanson, with 2 aces and a kill,
- Cheznee Skrien, with 2 aces and 3 kills.
Also chipping in were Mara Buller with an ace, Cammie Cronin with 3 kills, Camryn Rasmussen with 1 kill, and Morgan Demars with both an ace and a kill.
The Broncos fought hard but will look to bounce back on Thursday, August 28th against North Woods as the season continues.
