Broncos XC Opens at Lake of the Woods

In other Bronco sports, cross country runners laced up for their first meet of the season yesterday at Lake of the Woods. For the girls varsity, Braelyn Domitrovich led the Broncos with a 7th-place finish in 25 minutes, 8 seconds. Julia Dykstra was right behind in 8th, Bella Amerud took 9th, and Laney Becker placed 12th. Emma Abernathey and Ellie Kooistra also finished strong in the top 20. As a team, the Falls girls placed 3rd overall with 48 points, behind Roseau and Warroad.
On the boys side, Camden Deedrick paced the Broncos, crossing in 20:53 for 17th place. Benson Sather was 18th, Joe Sullivan 21st, and George Boe 24th. The Falls boys finished 4th in the team standings.
Next up for the Broncos cross country teams is their meet at Roseau on September 4th, where they’ll look to keep building momentum.
