Celebrating 112 Years in Gully

Gully is planning a big celebration June 16th-19th. The Gully 100 Committee has planned a Scandinavian theme for their 112th year celebration. This event was to be held 2 years ago but the pandemic put the brakes on their planned 110th year get together as Gully 100 Committee member Sara Bjerklie explains.

Events focusing on their Scandinavian heritage will take place throughout the weekend including a whist tournament, musical groups, Vikings age costumes and demonstrations, an ax throwing competition, and Scandinavian crafts and food. Other events include a 5K and 2K run, a spelling contest, hypnotist, and a parade and a dance. The celebration concludes with a church service on Sunday morning.
