(Pine River, MN) — Members of the Central Lakes Rotary Club spoke with Home Grown Local Radio about the upcoming “Rotary Ends Human Trafficking” Music Festival, set to take place August 12-14 at the Lakes Music & Events Park just north of Pine River on Highway 371.
Mary Kay Verkennes spoke about the work of the Central Lakes Rotary Club, especially in Cass and Crow Wing Counties.
Through the international work of the Rotary Club, the REHT Music Festival will have proceeds used to bring awareness and education about Human Trafficking and to support Survivors with their healing, which has placed an impact to rotarian Susan Bricker.
Bricker also gave a preview of who all is going to be performing at the Lakes Music and Events Park.
Human Trafficking speakers will also be on-hand to inform the audience through the weekend.
Further information on tickets, volunteer opportunities, lodging and campsite information, can be found on the rehtmusicfestival.com. Our full conversation with Mary Kay Verkennes, Susan Bricker, and Heather Kelm can be found in its entirety on the Wake The Lakes page at www.rjbroadcasting.com.
