Child Online Safety Tips 

As internet usage has become more prominent with young children, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office is reminding parents that It’s becoming more and more important for them to be monitoring their child’s online usage. Polk County Investigator Tom Brault shares some online safety tips that parents should keep in mind. 

Brault says it’s also important for parents to remember that children are usually one step ahead of their parents, and that online predators tend to slowly groom their victims. 

You should contact your local law enforcement agency immediately, or go to report.cybertip.org to file a report if you believe that you or your child is being exploited online.
