With planting complete, focus shifts to weed management
Earlier this spring, there was a lot of worry from area producers due to things like cold temperatures and weather, but since then things have rebounded. Gary Farmer Jeremy Sather says his crop has been going “gangbusters” since Memorial Day.
High winds earlier this summer left many producers with the decision to or not to replant, and Sather says he was fortunate enough to avoid replanting.
Now that the crop is in the ground focus has shifted to weed management, and Sather says spraying has gone well.
Sather was a guest on the Farm and Field Show, which airs Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 to 5:00 on KRJB 106.5 FM.
