Christmas Tree Permits at Chippewa National Forest
With Halloween over, many folks are already looking past Thanksgiving to prepare for Christmas, and one of the ways is buying a Christmas tree. The Chippewa National Forest recognized this and have made their Christmas tree permits available as Public Affairs Specialist Mike Stearly lets us know.
Connected to the permits is their Every Kid Outdoors pass for Fourth Graders, which makes them eligible for a free Christmas tree permit.
On Recreation.gov, kids of all ages can download, color, and decorate their tree with a Christmas tree ornament coloring page for a fun, handmade addition to their tree. Mike then talked about the early bird families who make a tradition out of chopping down a Christmas Tree.
And Chippewa National Forest must have many beautiful trees to choose from.
He was then asked if there are any limitations as to when and where folks can chop down trees.
Mike also gives some advice on when choosing what size of tree you get.
And with the weather getting colder of course you must dress warmly.
Finally, Mike Stearly lets us know of where you can check for any necessary information for going tree hunting.
