City Hall & Library Library Renovations Highlight Current City of Mahnomen Projects

Mahnomen, MN — From new park equipment to a city hall remodel, the City of Mahnomen has a number of projects currently in the works across the city. The Library and City Hall is currently under remodel with a number of renovations that may disrupt business, according to City Administrator Kari Kirschbaum, including bathrooms, roofs, windows, and more.

A new mural was also finished recently in downtown Mahnomen thanks to a partnership with local artists. Kirshbaum invites people to check it out on the side of the True Value hardware building.

And the Mahnomen mini-park will get a major upgrade too as it will be getting roughly $40,000 worth of new equipment install later this fall.

The City of Mahnomen was also recently approved for an Active Transportation Grant from the MN DOT, which will help the city put together a comprehensive plan for trails, sidewalks, and crossings along the Highway 59 corridor. More on that later this week on R & J news.
